Tnx brah- U know, there in Latvia mostly are cloudy days without sun. And if ya go to shot a pics, the result isn't so good as U expect. That's why I make some changes in brightness and saturation- and I don't think, it's bad. Some ppl say- U must post only original (unedited) pics but I think- it's an Art Site (DeviantART), and art U can make from the photos too. There is a category- photojournalism- and there all can put their unedited pics. :)
All these photomanipulations are art in some way, aren't they? But I don't make photomanipulations- I only a little edit my pics to look better for observers. :)

this is what DA says about Photography Submissions!

Gallery Info: Photography

Jared, I can tell ya one important thing. If ya've pro (dslr) camera, U don't need to edit pictures in most cases cos of very good picture quality (or cos of good lenses and sensor). If ya use an amateur (compact) camera, U MUST apply an unsharp mask for better pic quality! I use Gimp, this makes an image a bit sharper and brings a bit more brightness and saturation. In few words- pic looks more like as from dslr camera. :)

 I have a point and shoot. I do not have a dslr. May Camera is a 2004 Fuji 4mega-pixel,I have a Casio Exilim with 10mp that I took these recent photos with, but in daylight the saturation is too high.

It's natural- U've a plenty of sunlight so saturation can be over the limit. But I've a lot of cloudy days so I must add a bit more of saturation! :D

Woah, have ya a snow in Hawaii?!? :O :D
But don't bother, I'm not angry on these ppl cos someone likes what I do, others hates it. And U know, one of my drawings was banned here on DA- they said- it's pornography! :D But I don't think so- I've seen here a lot of BAD pornography and no one banned it! I can send this banned pic to U, if ya want- then U can decide- I'm wrong or they are wrong.
Morale: we ppl are so different- and that's good at all! Imagine, if we all would be so right, lawful and passive- :iconwowplz: there would be a boredom in the world! :D

Well, if you look at her gallery you will find, you were abused for her own gratification.

I mean, even Yanos has to do minor tweeks on occasion. If she thinks all of these photo are untouched...she is sadly wrong. The Orchid pictures I just submitted are the first pictures I have ever posted the have "zero" tweeks.

I guess for untouched, it means no crop of the photo?

Send the picture. I will try to post and we will see if I get the same response. HAHA

Done, check e-mail. :D
In fact, I've more old drawings (erotic content) but how I see so far- almost no one likes them, looks like I'm not very good in this field. I don't know how to draw digitally, I make all my drawings by hand.
Yeah, and I'll try to find one very old drawing of mine- when I was a student.

oooh you sharpened that to the max. Be careful of those halos. You could use a mask to get rid of them.

Buta, tnx for advice- I'm new in these editing things. In fact, there was very cloudy & gray day and I made this pic a bit brighter with an unsharp mask. :)

Masks are your friends. you can add and subtract effects with the brush tool. Also, "levels" and "hue/saturation" helps a lot. Like if you're in the "hue/saturation" pallet then you click on the little hand in the upper left, you can click on the picture and enhance that specific picture.

Online tutorials help.
